Monument to Kashirina Akulina Ivanovna

Russia, Nizhny Novgorod, Kulibin Park, center.

Description:

Kashirina Akulina Ivanovna is the grandmother of Maxim Gorky. Her monument in the form of a small bas-relief and a bust of Kulibin is all that remains of the Nizhny Novgorod All-Svyatsky Petropavlovsk cemetery. In 1960, during the final works on the improvement of the central city park - Kulibinsky, built on the site of the cemetery, these two remaining monuments were reconstructed and left as a local landmark.

Akulina Ivanovna Kashirina is considered a wonderful Russian woman who raised beautiful sons. Despite the fact that she grew up in very unfavorable conditions and a poor family, she was able to create a very healthy atmosphere not only for her children, but also for her grandchildren, raising them from people who are able to think actively and creatively and implement their plans in life.
