Monument to V.I. Lenin

Lenin Square, Kanavinsky District, Nizhny Novgorod

Description:

The correct path for the comrades is indicated by the 17-meter figure of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, installed in the center of Nizhny Novgorod. Its creation was timed to the centenary of the birthday of the Leader, who repeatedly visited Nizhny Novgorod and stood at the origins of the local Social Democratic Party. Interestingly, thousands (then still) of Gorky residents voluntarily took part in the construction of the square of the same name.

Next to the leader of the proletariat are four bronze figures: the worker and the Red Army. The first traditionally holds a hammer and sickle, the second group carries a developing banner. Sculptor - Neroda Y.G.
