Square (Nikolaya) Markin (formerly Safronovskaya, Sofronovskaya) - the square on the Lower Volga embankment near the River Station. It was named in honor of the commander of the Volga flotilla Nikolai Markin. On the square there is a large rectangular fountain and a monument in honor of the Heroes of the Volga Flotilla.
