The Orthodox church, built with the financing of the merchant Grigory Stroganov, is a bright representative of the architectural style, called “Stroganov Baroque”. One of its main features is the preservation of the five-headed appearance and magnificent decor traditional for the Russian church.
The facades of the Stroganov Church are decorated with snow-white stucco. The bell tower has an unusual clock that marked not only the time, but also the seasons, the phases of the moon.
You can get to the Christmas Stroganov Church by bus to the Nizhnevolzhskaya Embankment stop. 2 km from the temple is the metro station "Gorkovskaya". Also near the sight there are trams: tourists will need to get off at the stop “Annunciation Square”.
