The sculpture of Evgeny Evstigneev is located on the main pedestrian street of Nizhny Novgorod, Bolshaya Pokrovskaya. The sculpture sitting on the bench of the greatest Russian actor, a native of Nizhny Novgorod, was created in September 2006 to the 80th anniversary of his birth.
The bronze statue is located at the entrance to the Nizhny Novgorod Drama Theater, where the career of the famous artist began. In memory of the actor, the Nizhny Novgorod Theater School was also named, which opened in the Comedy Theater on the day of his birth a theater competition-festival.
