Sculpture "Couple in Love"
Description:
The sculpture of a couple in love appeared in Nizhny Novgorod in 2006 on Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street, as part of a project to place images of residents of the 19th century in the historical part of the city.
The characters in this image are real. The sculpture is dedicated to the famous couple of that time, French Jeanette Pauline Goebl and Russian cavalry guard Ivan Annenkov and their love story.
The sculpture depicts a man and a woman walking in the summer. The lady is dressed in a classic dress of the time, a headdress, an umbrella in her hand. A man holds her hand, wearing classic pants and a long jacket. Lovers look into each other's eyes.
