About the company:

The museum has been open to the public since 1949. To the 200th anniversary of A.S. Pushkin, a memorial complex was created in Boldin dedicated to the stay and work of the great poet in the family estate in the Nizhny Novgorod province, the activities of his ancestors. The main house houses the main literary and memorial exposition “A.S. Pushkin in Boldin”. On the basis of preserved historical documents and archaeological excavations, lost outbuildings have been restored: a kitchen, a bath, a human stable, as well as two houses of the former church order adjacent to the estate. Near the estate, the stone church of the Assumption of the XVIII century was restored and the chapel of Archangel Michael on the site of an Orthodox church of the XVII century.

Now the State Literary-Memorial and Natural Museum-Reserve of A.S. Pushkin "Boldino" includes a memorial Pushkin estate in the village of Bolshaya Boldino, the Luchinnik grove, according to legend, the favorite place of the poet's walks, and the Lvivka estate. In the village of Lvivka, where the estate of A.A. Pushkin, the son of the poet, was preserved, a museum of literary heroes “The Tales of Belkin” was opened. Here you can see the rooms of Lisa Muromskaya (“Peasant Girl”), Marya Gavrilovna (“Blizzard”), Countess B*** (“Shot”) and I.P. Belkin.

The Pushkin Museum in Nizhny Novgorod was opened in 1999, and in 2009 it became part of the State Literary, Memorial and Natural Museum-Reserve of A. S. Pushkin “Boldino”.

The museum is located on Minin Square, on the site of the hotel of merchant Dmitry Deulin, where the great poet stayed, who visited the city on September 2-3, 1833.
