About the company:
The Volga-Vyatka branch of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts is one of the leading regional institutions. Its specificity is the demonstration of contemporary art in the broad context of world culture.
Since 1997, she has been implementing numerous exhibition and interdisciplinary projects, as well as educational, children’s and inclusive programs. Since 2011, it is located in the building of the Arsenal of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, an architectural monument of late classicism. Thanks to the building behind the institution, the name Arsenal was fixed among the public.
In 2020, the Arsenal became a branch of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. This association creates and develops a new creative environment that works with the unique identity of the territory, presents the contemporary artistic process and integrates classical art into a relevant context. The branch was previously part of the federal network of State Centers for Contemporary Art in different cities of the country (except Nizhny Novgorod - St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg, Vladikavkaz, Tomsk).
“Arsenal creates a space of artistic communication for the development of man, society and territory.”
