White Mountain is one of the most beautiful in the Middle Urals, located 37 km from the city of Nizhny Tagil. And it was not named White by chance: the slopes of the mountain from autumn to spring are covered with snow. Climbing the mountain, you can see the cities of the Sverdlovsk region with the naked eye: Nevyansk, Kirovgrad, Upper Tagil and even Yekaterinburg.
White Mountain has been operating as a ski center since 1963. In 1977, the All-Union Rural Games were held on White Mountain. Then, in 1980, White hosted athletes of the Championship of the Central Council of Rural DSO. Already those, the first major competitions predicted a great sports future for White. Which time has confirmed.
In 2003, a decision was made by the Decree of the Government of the Sverdlovsk region on the construction of a ski complex on White Mountain. In the summer of 2005, the first stone of the new complex was laid. By the winter season of 2005-2006, two boat lifts had already been put into operation.
