A bronze sculpture of a woman with a child in her arms is installed on the embankment of Novorossiysk, opposite the cruiser Mikhail Kutuzov.
According to the chief architect of the group of companies "City" Alexander Izmodenov, the bronze figure represents the women of Novorossiysk, waiting for their sailors.
The figure height of 2.3 meters was created and cast in Novorossiysk for a year. It is also planned to light up the monument.
The author of the "monument to the sailor" was the Novorossiysk sculptor Alexander Suvorov. And the initiative to install the sculpture belongs to the head of the city Vladimir Sinyagovsky.
