Ship-Museum "Mikhail Kutuzov"
admiral Serebryakova, 1, Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Territory, Russia, 353900
About the company:
The cruiser was named in honor of M. I. Kutuzov and on February 22, 1951 it was created at the shipyard in Nikolaev. The launch took place on November 29 of the following year, and two years later the naval flag was raised on the ship.
In 1961, the filming of the film “Shore dismissal” took place here, and in the same year Yuri Gagarin visited the ship. In 1987, there was a question of selling the cruiser for scrapping or creating a unique museum. In July 2002, on the Day of the Navy (Navy Fleet), on the ship "Mikhail Kutuzov" was opened the museum known to date.
Every day until 2011, excursions were held on the deck of the ship and in the superstructures.
Currently, the cruiser has a base station MTS, providing decent signal quality on the territory of the sea station and in the center of the city of Novorossiysk.
