About the company:
Novosibirsk Academic Youth Theatre "Globus" is the largest center of spiritual and aesthetic education of young people and children in Siberia, which is open to all areas of creative activity. Its history begins with the production of the play “Timoshkin Mine” in 1930. Until 1993, the institution was named Novosibirsk TYUZ, then received its modern name. At the grand opening of the institution, the director was handed a symbolic key in the form of a sailboat, and a capsule was laid in which a message was stored for future generations.
The building of the Globe Theatre is stylized as a sailing ship, two auditoriums occupy spacious rooms. Also inside there is enough space for a buffet, dressing rooms, costume shops, wardrobe, hardware warehouses and exhibition galleries. In the interior, the architectural idea of a romantic ship develops - inclined walls, windows-illuminators, glowing colored stained glass windows, as well as a huge wooden high relief of an ancient vessel. In 1989, the construction project was awarded a silver medal at VDNKh.
