Circus building

Already in 1899, the future Novosibirsk began to flood the first circus showrooms. After 5 years, the construction of many circus buildings began in the city, which either succeeded each other or competed with each other, when, by coincidence, several troupes appeared in the city. These "buildings" were mainly tented and made of wood.

In 1931, the authorities established a state association of music, pop and circus, which transferred the circus to the category of the state structure. From 1936 to 1970, the famous and familiar Shapito worked, and 40 years later a new building was built for it, the auditorium of which is designed for 2300 seats.

The project of this building was so successful that the technologies first applied here were used in the construction of buildings in other cities of Russia.
