Drive Studio Theatre

About the company:
In our understanding, the energy of a creative person, in particular an actor, born on stage: those fluids, that atmosphere, that desire and burning, passing into the hall, "infecting" him and making him feel the integrity of what is happening. The origin of the studio occurred in September 2000 in 212 auditorium 6 of the NSTU building. A large number of people came to join the theater art. Director V.V.Baitenger welcomed everyone warmly, and those who came told about themselves, their interests and hobbies, experience in any field of art. The studio made its first steps here, in the highest building of the university. The audience was quite small, but cozy; the guys quickly became friends and plunged into the "out" of theatrical life. “Novichoks” did not feel like outcasts, because experienced director V.V. Baitenger supported and helped. Come to "DRIVE" and guys from other studios, which, of course, did not leave without the help of their "younger" brothers. The work is boiling. Someone stayed, someone left. By the end of the year 2000, more or less the main group was formed. By that time, the university presented us with a new room, where we are to this day, i.e. on the 5th floor of the 7th hostel of NSTU. The room was amicably put in order, and in the meantime, rehearsals were already underway over the first “child” of the “DRIVE” studio – a play based on the play by N. A. Taffy “Women’s Question”.
