The path of faith. Temples of the center of Novosibirsk

It's a walk, a pilgrimage, a walk with meaning. It doesn’t matter what religion you belong to. You may be neutral about religion and faith. But in difficult moments of life, we all seek support and support, and often find ourselves willing to visit the Temple.

I invite you to take a walk through churches and other religious institutions in the center of Novosibirsk, during which we will talk about the role of Faith and religion in the life of our city and, perhaps, in our own life. All objects are located within the historical center of Novosibirsk, within walking distance. Of course, at your choice, we will visit some or all of the sites presented in this article, following the standard rules for visiting them. Ladies are advised to carry a head scarf.

From the very first day Novosibirsk was a multi-confessional and multi-ethnic city. During our walk we will explore 4 Orthodox churches, 1 Catholic cathedral, 1 mosque and 1 synagogue, and visit some of them.

Among other things, we will see: the Ascension Cathedral, the mosque - not only a religious institution, but also a monument of architecture, the Catholic Cathedral of the Transfiguration - organ concerts are held here, the Chapel of St. Sergius, which is known even not all residents of Novosibirsk, as well as the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral - one of the first stone buildings of Novosibirsk (at that time - Novonikolaevsk).
