Two-storey mansion on Michurina Street
Russia, Novosibirsk region, Novosibirsk, Michurina str., 6
Description:
The two-storey mansion, which is located on Michurina Street, in the Central District of Novosibirsk, is a valuable architectural monument of regional importance.
The house was built in the early 20th century by a merchant and was used for residential and storage facilities. Later, the building housed a prison hospital and various organizations. Today the house requires major repairs.
This characteristic example of the neo-Russian style once had an angular position, as a result of which asymmetry is traced in its layout. The brick two-storey mansion has a basement and an extension of a stairwell. The base is made of natural Siberian granite, the four-sided roof is covered with metal. The building is distinguished by a silhouette, cut with complex figure attics, a variety of details and a rich design of facades. Due to alterations, the original layout was lost. The interior of the building is quite simple.
