Description:
The monument is located in the memorial complex of the historical center of Novosibirsk, in the memorial square of the Fallen during the Civil War.
January 22, 1920 in Novonikolaevsk held the funeral of fighters for power of the Soviets. Two years later, on the site of the mass grave, located in the Central part of the city, a concrete monument was erected, which is a muscular hand that broke through the rock, it clutches the torch, which symbolizes the immortality of the revolutionary feat of the dead.
The monument was opened on November 7, 1922 in memory of 104 victims of the struggle, its authors were: artist V. N. Sibiryakov and engineer A. I. Kudryavtsev.
