Bogdan Khmelnitsky Street
Description:
Bogdan Khmelnitsky Street is one of the brightest places in the Kalinin district in Novosibirsk. No wonder it is called “Red hill”, that is, “beautiful”. The main developer of the district since the late forties of the last century was the Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrates Plant. The appearance of the name Bogdan Khmelnitsky is not accidental, this fact is associated with the fact that earlier the chemical concentrates plant had close ties with the Ukrainian SSR, and this influenced the choice of name for the main street of the district. When designing Bogdan Khmelnitsky Street, architects successfully planned development among natural forest areas. And today their beauty is emphasized by artificial plantings: slender spruces, linden trees, ash trees in combination with pine groves create a unique appearance of the street.
