Novosibirsk State Museum of Local History Department of Nature

In the Museum of Nature you can see the natural science exposition, which brings together more than 1,500 exhibits. The exposition contains the most famous exhibit of the museum - a complete skeleton of a female mammoth Matilda, next to it there is a skeleton of a woolly rhinoceros, a scientific reconstruction of a cave bear, a figure of a baby mammoth.

In the museum you can see slabs with fossilized dinosaur remains discovered in the Kemerovo region. For the youngest visitors created a rock of wonders with sparkling druses of amethyst and authentic fossils of ancient animals, whose age is hundreds of millions of years. In the recreated grotto of Barsukovskaya cave, you can watch the flight of digital bats.

And in the halls dedicated to the subject of nature, the whole variety of animals, birds and insects living in the Novosibirsk region is collected.

In addition, the museum annually hosts more than 10 temporary exhibition projects dedicated to natural history. These are photo exhibitions, natural science exhibitions of the largest Russian museums, and exhibition projects of scientists of NSCM.
