Museum of History of Development of Public Education

The museum was opened on May 18, 1992, on the International Day of Museums on the initiative of veterans of pedagogical work on the basis of the order of the regional department of education and with the support of RIPKRIPRO. The museum has been headed since the foundation of Orlov Valentina Alexandrovna.

The museum performs:

• Functions of the scientific and methodological center in the field of museology and museum pedagogy for education workers.
• Functions of the center for advanced training and retraining of teachers and heads of educational institutions.
• Functions of the center for support of experimental activities in the field of museology and museum pedagogy in educational institutions.
• Functions of the center of work with teachers: young beginning specialists, creative teachers looking for new forms and methods of work; with teachers - veterans of pedagogical work.

At the same time, the Museum of the History of Education Development in Novosibirsk and the Novosibirsk Region does not cease to be a museum in its classical sense and performs the main museum functions.
