Metro station "Red Prospect"
Description:
The station was commissioned in 1985 and is geographically located in the center of Novosibirsk, so it is an important infrastructure hub connecting many of the city's attractions. Near the exits there is the Palace of Weddings, the House of Officers, the Circus, the Ascension Cathedral and several shopping centers.
The station is made in a strict style, but there are also color accents - the walls and ceiling are lined with marble of light and dark red tones. According to the authors, this color solution should remind of the industrial power of Novosibirsk.
In the appearance of the station there is another element designed to cause certain associations. On the ceiling, in the form of a light fold, the architects tried to visualize the “length and speed” of Red Avenue, the central highway of the city, after which the station was named.
