Zaeltsovskaya metro station
Description:
The Novosibirsk metro station Zaeltsovskaya was opened in April 1992, its construction lasted about five years. The station is located under a major transport interchange of Novosibirsk - Kalinin Square, whose name was originally planned to be called the station. However, later it was decided to give the station a name by the name of the urban area associated with the river First Yeltsovka. This is a typical single-vault station of shallow occurrence.
The design of the Zaeltsovskaya station was made according to the project of architect Morzhakov. The walls of the paths have a concave cylindrical shape, which, according to the designers, unites them with a high arched vault. The floors of the station are lined with red-brown granite, and the walls are lined with light Coelgin marble. On the ceiling of the station mounted original lighting system with round metal plafonds.
