The Golden Niva metro station
Description:
Initially, the Zolotaya Niva station was planned to be commissioned by the 117th anniversary of Novosibirsk, that is, at the end of June 2010. But the deadlines are long. The construction of the station was marred by many difficulties: difficult geological conditions and a large volume of groundwater, so even after the opening on February 9, 2011, it was repeatedly closed for reconstruction.
By design, the station is single-vaulted. The main finishing material for it was aluminum, and the floor, ceiling vault, walls and lower parts of the columns are made of granite. As for the color solution, the “golden” here are decorated only long perforated inserts in the columns, which symbolize the ears.
Despite the complete commissioning of the station, some problems remained unresolved. The most serious is its imperfect waterproofing. From communications located nearby, hot water systematically seeps into the station.
