In the realm of white peaks and white water

Aktru is a peak in the mountain complex of Bish-Yirdu, and a beautiful mountain river, rapidly carrying its milk waters into the arms of Chui, and two snow-white glaciers, on both sides hugging the harsh back of Mount Kara-Tash. The same name is also borne by the gorge, where at the foot of the majestic "Black Stone", near the glaciers, in the cedar-larch forest, the alplager "Aktru" - "White camp" is cozy. The gorge is widely known for the variety of routes for climbers and has become a convenient launch pad for climbing. In the same gorge found shelter and glaciologists studying the abundance of glaciers available here.

The water part of the route will introduce you to the most abundant river of the Altai Mountains. Katun is the main river in this mountainous country, not without reason the name "Katun" is associated with "Kadyn", which means "Queen", "Mistress", "Lord". Having overcome one of its most interesting areas, you will see this. Due to the uniqueness of Katun, rafting on it is hardly comparable in saturation and variety of obstacles with any other river.
