Lake Hanto

Khanto is a small lake located near the northwestern border of Noyabrsk, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia. On the shore of the lake there is a sanatorium "Lake". Once the lake was a favorite holiday destination for residents of Noyabrsk, but at the moment the water in the lake is very polluted.

Pollution, as found by experts of the Department of ecology of the city, occurred because of the stream feeding the lake. The stream passes through the garage complex, which leads to pollution. Also, the lake damaged vegetation, which recently prevented excessive outflow of water. The lake was discovered 12-meter craters of artificial origin, which are likely to disrupt the hydrological balance of the lake.

At the moment, the sanitary station prohibits swimming in the lake.
