Peschanaya Bay - "Baikal Riviera"

Peschanaya Bay is one of the most beautiful and famous bays on Baikal, also called the “Baikal Riviera”. No one will remain indifferent after visiting here.

All the sights here are located quite close and it is not difficult to get around all the points in a day. Namely:

Capes Big and Small Bell - located to the right and left of the bay, they offer beautiful panoramic views of the Sandy itself, as well as the coastline that goes into the distance;

- Hodular trees, from under which wind and water gradually removes the soil, exposing the roots, as a result, the tree itself then rises above the ground above human growth;

- Fucking stone. This is a small stone island 150 meters from the coast, on which there is no vegetation, but it was chosen by a large colony of birds - at different times it was cormorants or gulls;

- Grandma's Cove. The neighboring bay with Pechana, not inferior in beauty - here mighty waves beat against the rocks, and only a hundred meters away there is a sandy beach with equipped places for recreation.

Visiting this place is possible only from the sea - by water, at least if you need to quickly enough.

In summer – by boat or ship, in winter – on the ice on the “chivus” (air cushion vessel), or on cars or snowmobiles. For the more active and time-consuming, there are hiking trails (from 2-3 days or more).

The excursion here begins from Listvyanka or Big Holoustny, depending on the type of transport, and takes at least the whole day, but it is ideal to allocate at least 2 days with an overnight stay at the recreation center.

You can stay here at one of the two recreation centers, or stand in tents in one of the neighboring bays.
