Ivolginsky datsan + Baikal

Ivolginsky Datsan - the center of Buddhism in Russia is located about 500 km from Irkutsk. The road to it is very picturesque and in places passes along Lake Baikal.

The tour takes 2 days. The main object of visit is Ivolginsky datsan.

By agreement with you, the tour includes excursions to choose from:

You will visit the residence of the head of Buddhists of Russia. This temple complex consists of more than 7 datsans. Each of them and their decorations are works of art. You will not find such a concentration of the Buddhist spirit anywhere in Russia except here. You can communicate with lamas, ask questions of interest, make a horoscope, contact herbalists, order a prayer service. The sacred Bodhi tree grows on the territory of datsana, under which Buddha Shakyamuni gained enlightenment (the resin was brought from India). There's a Buddhist university.

And most importantly, you will have the opportunity to touch one of the main jewels of Buddhists – this is the imperishable body of Khambo Lama Itigelov, whose phenomenon is known all over the world. Dashi Dorjo Itigelov passed away more than 70 years ago, but his body was not corrupted. It is believed that Hambo Lama Itigelov left his body to us, for various reasons. He asks for healing, for the solution of life’s difficulties, each asks for his own. There are many cases where the prayers of the beggars were heard and satisfied.
