Mystery Tageran. One-day excursion to Baikal (Tazheran steppes)

Tazheran steppes are a unique place even for Baikal!
Tajerans have a very interesting, diverse landscape. Here you can see relict trees, light pine forests, sand dunes and steppe expanses, rocks-remainers and hilly relief.

The tour is carried out on a prepared expedition SUV.

Number of participants: 1-3 people. If necessary, additional machines are included (for groups from 3 to 12 people).

Preliminary program (adjusted depending on weather conditions):

• Early departure from Irkutsk (from hotel, airport, railway station or pre-agreed address).
• Transfer Irkutsk - Bayandai - Elantsy (note 210 km)
• From Elantsi p. we move to the valley of the Anga river, on the right bank of which we will reach the sacred mountain Shibete, on which we will make a simple climb. From the top of the mountain there are stunning views of the Anga Valley and Big Baikal. Part of the mountain is surrounded by the remains of the ancient Kurykan wall, and on the top there is a place where shamans conduct rituals. We will also hold a small ceremony of offering the spirits of Baikal.
• The next point is the beautiful Aya Bay, where you can wander along the shore, listening to the music of Baikal.
• After Ai, we will move through the Tagerans to the Valley of Stone Spirits. This is a stunning place, which is associated with one ancient legend, which will tell the guide. On the way, lunch in the cafe with dishes of Buryat cuisine (if you have special nutritional requirements, this issue can be discussed in advance with the guide).
• From the Valley of Stone Spirits, the route leads us along the coastline of Baikal to the Snake Gorge. On the way, in beautiful views, we will make stops.
• In the Snake Gorge we will go down to Baikal, where on the pebble beach you can sit alone with Baikal, gather your thoughts, relax while the guide prepares taiga tea or coffee.
• From the gorge we will go to the top of the mountain at Cape Cross, from where you can see the south of Olkhon Island and the Olkhon Gate Strait.
• At the end of our small but busy trip we will stop at the village of Sakhyurta, Bazarnaya Bay and start returning to Irkutsk, where we will take you to a hotel or other agreed address.
• Upon arrival, our tour will be considered complete!

What to take with you on the road?
Paperwork, personal expenses. Mobile phone, in the charging machine there are wires Lighting 8 pin, USB type C, micro and mini USB. If you are shooting, do not forget the camera, spare batteries and other necessary equipment.

The weather on Baikal is changeable, so it is important to follow the rule of layers. Depending on the season, thermal underwear, pants, fleece dress or sweater, jacket. Even in July, the water on Lake Baikal can be cool and windy.
Pay special attention to your shoes. It should be non-slip, comfortable and fix the leg well.
Do not hurt sunglasses, protective cream. The sun on Baikal is strong.
