Great Holoust and Sand Bay: Conquering the Ice of Baikal

Day 1

You can get to Big Holoustny either by your car or by bus. Departure from Irkutsk at 10:00. Upon arrival, leaving things at the hotel, you will have an active three-hour walk on a special studded bicycle or skates to Cape Kadil. About 14 km on the ice you have to overcome to see the picturesque bay, located on the territory of the Baikal National Park. After a little rest and a walk you will start your way back. In the evening you are waiting for check-in to the hotel and a real bath with a dive into a fluffy snowdrift.
Day 2

After breakfast, you will go today to one of the most picturesque places on Baikal - Peschanaya Bay. As part of a small group and an experienced instructor, you will have a real cycling tour (or skating, to choose from) to Peschanaya Bay. About 35 km you have to overcome the Baikal ice. Depending on your preparation, the road will take you 2-3 hours. Upon arrival, you will be able to relax and walk around the local attractions and enjoy the picturesque places. After a full walk, you will return to the Great Holoust. We recommend taking a snack and tea in a thermos to store energy before going home. If you wish, you can order a hot lunch. At this point your weekend has come to an end and you will be happy to go home. If you go by bus, we advise you to book seats in advance, the last flight departs at 17:00.
