Children on Baikal

Description:

DAY 1

Meet me on the road. We have a long way to the heart of Lake Baikal – to Olkhon Island. We will go there by minibus, the road will take 5-6 hours. We'll stop by the cafe for lunch on the way.

A long-awaited meeting with an amazing lake will brighten up all the hardships of the way! Baikal is beautiful! And we'll put our tent camp right on its shore. Dinner at the stake with stunning views of the lake and sunset! Tonight is a night of dating and fairy tales :

DAY 2

About 6 km on foot

Today we will go to the other side of Baikal, where the sun rises. We will be brought to the village of Uzury by UAZ (loaf).

Let's camp, have lunch and go on the easy way! We are waiting for Mount Tolgoy (697m), which offers stunning views of the lake and the island for many kilometers around. In the evening, we will arrange a master class for young tourists, and with adults we can explore another mountain called Pisces (762 m).

DAY 3

About 10 km on foot

And who gets up early, he admires the dawn over Baikal :

After breakfast, we head to Cape Three Brothers. In a day, we will cross the island from East to West and see how these two shores differ. Our belongings will be lucky escort car, and we travel light.
Since we become real tourists, we will teach our children to set up tents and make a fire (under the careful supervision of instructors and parents).

DAY 4

About 11 km on foot

We don't have to camp today! After having breakfast and doing exercises, we easily go to the northernmost point of the island - Cape Hobo. Here there is something to admire: beautiful rocks and steep cliffs, around the blue of the "Small Sea"! On the way back, we will go a new road, through the Cape of Love or Shunte-Left. And we will be brought to the camp by our small, experienced tourists using a map and compass!

Delicious dinner and fairy tales by the fire, what could be better after a busy hiking day?

DAY 5

About 12 km on foot

We're camping again, loading things into the car, and hitting the road! Today we are going along the West coast of Baikal. We open steppe landscapes, small pine forests and many capes and bays. The most beautiful of them is Cape Sasa with the bay of the same name, where we will stand for the night.

DAY 6

About 8 km on foot

We continue our journey along the West Coast. Pass through the sand dunes and the relic tree, where the average age of the trees reaches 200 years! We will reach Cape Nyurgansky, here and set up a camp.

Before dinner, we have an exciting relay for everyone. At dinner, we will again be shown the film as the sun sets behind Baikal : And, of course, bedtime stories!

DAY 7

About 12 km on foot

Today is the last day and the longest. But we are already hard tourists, we are not afraid of distance! Steppe landscapes, an amazing variety of flowers and herbs, and the blue expanses of the Great Lake.

Tonight we will not be in tents, but in tents, like real residents of the steppe! This is a campground, there is a shower with hot water :

There are so many impressions to share! We will arrange a festive dinner and share with each other new travel plans, because now we all have one less dream - to visit Baikal!

DAY 8

That’s the end of our trip, it’s time to say goodbye to Baikal. We will collect things and walk along the sandy beach to Shamanka Rock and Cape Burhan.
