The road to Baikal. Museums and Drandopark

Meet in Irkutsk at 9:00 (the meeting place is specified individually)

We're going to Baikal.

The road is not difficult, only 60 km.

10:30 Arrive in the village Listvyanka, we are accommodated in the guest house.

A little free time to take a breath and drink tea with buns.

After that, we go on a familiarization walk around the village to orient ourselves on the ground, look around the neighborhood, say hello to Baikal.

First of all, we go on an excursion to the unique, the only limnological museum in Russia.

The object is worthy of attention and after visiting it, no one has the thought to regret the money spent on the ticket.

The Baikal Museum is good, it is lively and interesting.

Then we go for a walk in the arboretum and on the chair lift we ascend to the top of the mountain “Chersky stone”.

This is an observation deck from which the panorama of Baikal and the source of the Angara River opens.

15:00 Heading to the horse courtyard.

We have lunch there. And safety briefing.

Meet the horses.

We recall the management of horses from the ground and from the saddle, repeat the basic skills of riding.

A little practice in the arena and go on a trial walk around the neighborhood.

19:00 Dinner.

Free time.

We recommend to sit by the evening fire on the shore of Lake Baikal and admire the sunset.

10:30 Let's start the day active.

Saddle horses and go to the forest lake, which is located under the Watchstone mountain.

We'll climb the mountain, too.

We'll have a picnic at the top.

The route from the point of view of relief is very interesting - forest paths, old winter roads, fording through streams and streams rushing to Baikal, descents and ascents.

This will be our training before tomorrow's two-day horseback trip.

14:00 Lunch.

15:00 After lunch we will go by car on an excursion to the museum of wooden architecture "Taltsy".

The museum is huge and diverse, very interesting.

We will focus on the topic “Indigenous Siberians and Siberian IDPs, Horse in the Life of Siberians”.

19:00 Dinner.

Today is an evening of free time, which can be devoted to walking around the nearby sights.

Very close to the hotel there is an interesting and originally decorated museum of rare equipment, an old functioning St. Nicholas Church, an art gallery of Siberian artists and a museum of minerals.

If there is still a lot of strength by the end of the day, then walk along the embankment along Baikal.

Now there will be a healthy physical fatigue in the body, which means that the day was a success.

Horse trek along Baikal

9:00 Breakfast.

We are quickly going, today we have a horse trek along Lake Baikal to the place Big Cats.

10:00 Ahead of 32 kilometers of extraordinary adventure.

We'll be on the road for four hours, no less. Probably more.

The route will pass along a forest path, through low, but rather steep passes.

But the picturesque views of the Siberian taiga, as well as the view of the majestic Baikal, opening from the Black Pass, will surely conquer your heart.

Then there will be a descent into the decay lost among the mountains, and along it a path directly to the shore of Baikal.

Rock Scepter, Big Cats

10:00 Breakfast.

Today we have a horse-field trip along Baikal to the Scepter rock.

11:00 Ahead of miles of adventure and beauty.

The route will pass along the forest path, along the edge of Lake Baikal, along paths and glades.

We'll have a picnic on the beach under the rock.

You can swim.

Despite the fact that we are in the south of Baikal, the temperature of the water in the mountain lake-sea usually does not apply to prolonged bathing.

Dive in, jump out! You can go with the horse.

Upon returning to base, dinner.

Free time.

We go to the evening prominade - a little walk through the Big Cats.

In the village there is a small museum of Baikal studies - its exposition will help to make the most complete picture of all the bugs and spiders that inhabit the shores of the lake.

The museum has the most comprehensive collection on this topic.

The village itself is small, cozy, quiet and original.

I wish it wasn't like that, there are no roads here.

You can get either on horseback through the taiga, or on a ship by water.

Such solitude is a rare luxury in our times.

Return to Listvyanka

9:00 Wake up, wash and have breakfast.

10:00 Return to Listvyanka.

Horses will carefully take us back neatly transporting through swampy places and small fords, overcome ups and downs.

15:30 Finishing. Goodbye to the horses.

16:00 Late lunch at the hotel.

Time to rest.

20:00 Dinner. Bath.

Barbecue, as an evening event, is also not prohibited.

Visit to souvenir and fish markets

Let's go say goodbye to Baikal.

This is a special time to visit souvenir and fish markets.

In addition, you can look into the nerpinaria, this is on the way.

The one in which they live, which, for one reason or another, got to a person, no longer managed to adapt to the natural habitat.

Nerps get used to people very quickly because they are intelligent, sociable and curious.

In the Baikal Nerpinary you can see their performances.

They can sing, dance, play with the ball and even count.

They draw. They do all the tricks with pleasure, because this is not a job for them, but a game.

Training and training of these animals is mainly through the method of positive reinforcement.

With animals like the nerpa, there is no other way.

Otherwise, they get offended, scared, refuse to play with a person and swim away.

Try catching up. Training of such animals is possible only through interest in the process.

Lunch on your own, so as not to waste time returning to the hotel.

There will be no problems with lunch - there are many different cafes on the waterfront.

Then, you can walk along the shore of Lake Baikal to the solar observatory of the Institute of Solar-Earth Physics.

Excursions to the solar telescope do not often take place.
