The charm of Olkhon and Irkutsk

Irkutsk

In the morning at 09:30 we meet at the airport and at the railway station of Irkutsk, get acquainted, get luggage.

We are going on a sightseeing tour of the city. We will visit the foundation of Irkutsk, walk along the embankment of the Angara River, look into the historical quarter.

After the tour, we stay in hotels and hotel apartments of Irkutsk.

You can also visit the Nerpinarium and the Decembrists Museum on your own.

Olkhon Island, Shamanka Rock

In the morning we take a minibus to Olkhon Island.

The island is separated from the mainland by a small strait, so you can get there only by ferry.

Arrival in Khuzhir is the tourist center of the island.

Accommodation at the recreation center / hotel (according to the selected accommodation option).

The first acquaintance with the island is a walking tour to the sacred Shamanka Rock.

Back to base, dinner.

Hoboi Cape

After breakfast, you will have a fascinating excursion to Cape Khoboy (trans. from the Buryat "fang"), the northern tip of Olkhon Island.

Once on Cape Khoboy, you can feel not just at the edge of the island, but at the edge of the earth, because in front of you are the endless water expanses of Baikal, which make you feel like a small grain of sand in this realm of beauty and nature.

Full of impressions and emotions return to the base. Dinner.

South of Olkhon Island

After breakfast we go on a trip to the south-eastern part of the island.

This is a trip to the steppe part of the island, with a stop in secluded bays, turquoise lagoon and to the lake, which was called “Heart”. On the hot days of July and August, bring your swimsuits.

It will not do this day without bizarre rock complexes. Stone castle, trident and Stalin’s profile – what you will not see on this day.

Water trip to Ogoi Island

Today the group goes on a water tour of Baikal.

On the ship you will sail through the Small Sea and arrive in a picturesque bay, where a healing spring is located.

A short walk to the spring and lunch on the shore.

Then by boat you will go to the island of Ogoi.

There is a Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment on the island.

Back to base, dinner.

Rest on the shore of Baikal

A free day that you can spend at your discretion - there is a lesson for everyone. Riding bicycles and ATVs, horseback riding tour, visiting the Buryat village or walking along the coast of Baikal - choose only you.

Return to Irkutsk

Breakfast.

Transfer to Irkutsk by buses and minibuses (standard departure time 12.30).

Stop at the roadside cafe (eating yourself).

The end of the program in Irkutsk (Kirov Square) after 19:00.
