Northern Baikal: in the footsteps of an ancient man.

DAY 1

Meeting with our guide at the railway station of Severobaikalsk at 10:00. Organized transfer to the hot spring Goujekit 40 km with a sightseeing tour of 4 km to the mountain waterfall near the mountain river Goujekit. We swim in the spring, then have a delicious lunch in the cafe.

After admiring the waterfall, we sit on an organized transfer to the village of Baikal – Ludar Bay 82 km.

We set up a camp on the shore of Lake Baikal in the Ludar Bay. Cooking dinner. Tent night.

DAY 2

Breakfast. A radial exit of 6 km - to Cape Ludar, where there is a parking lot of ancient man, whose age is estimated at about 4 thousand years. Following the inspection of a small and large cave with a diameter of 12 meters, as well as grottoes, where fragments of Iron Age pottery with an overhead roller and arched ornament were found, pieces of birch bark, split bones of a bull, horse and seal.

After visiting the caves, lunch in the Ludar Bay. Further, the 11 km walk along the “Big Baial Trail” along the coast of Baikal.

We set up a camp next to a natural deposit of blue clay, which is located in the cozy Boguchanskaya Bay. Dinner. Overnight in tents.

DAY 3

Breakfast. We meet the morning dawn on the shore of Lake Baikal. Transition to Cape Thin 6 km. Lunch.

Then a climbing training will be organized for beginners on the coastal cliffs near Cape Tonkogo.

Transition 8 km along the "Big Baikal Trail" to the tour of the Slyudyansk Lakes base. Dinner. Russian bath. Tent night.

DAY 4

We'll get up in the morning. Breakfast. We go on a sightseeing tour to the place of mica mining. We inspect the exploded galleries of the Boguchansky Gulag on the Slyudyansk mountain 8 km. From here there is a fantastic panoramic view of the Slyudyansk lakes and Lake Baikal.

Back to the campground. Lunch. Rest, swim in the warm Slyudyansk lake.

Bard's song night by the campfire. Dinner. Overnight in tents.

DAY 5

Early rise. Breakfast. We leave by bus to the port of Severobaikalsk 26 km. Further, on a speedboat we cross Lake Baikal along its blue surface from the west to the east coast to the Bay of Ayaya 50 km.

Lunch on the shore in the longest lip in the north of Baikal. After a delicious and hearty lunch, we move to the source of the mountain lake Froliha 6 km.

Then we cross the lake by catamaran 4 km to the Jewish sandy beach. Camping. Dinner at the stake. Night in tents on the shore of a mountain lake.

DAY 6

Early breakfast. The transition by catamaran along Lake Frolikha 12 km to the waterfall at the mouth of the river right Frolikha (Nerunda), during which the fascinating landscapes on the highlands of the Barguzin ridge break off. Lunch on a Jewish beach.

Sunbathing, eating deliciously. Night in tents on the shore of Lake Froliha.

DAY 7

After a hearty breakfast, we cross by catamaran from the Jewish beach to the source of Lake Froliha 4 km, then walk back to the Bay of Ayaya 6 km. Lunch on the shore of Lake Baikal.

Then a radial exit to the observation deck with a view of the completed path in the heights of bird flight. We meet the evening sunset on the shore of the lake.

Dinner. Night in tents on the shore of Baikal.

DAY 8

Early breakfast. Walking along the shoreline of Lake Baikal from the Bay of Ayaya to Cape Biray 10 km. The relief of the coast on the way will be diverse from rocky mounds to sand dunes. Lunch is on the way.

We set up camp on a sandy beach near Cape Biray. Dinner. Tent night.

DAY 9

Breakfast. Walking from Cape Biray to Hakusa Bay 10 km, with lunch on the way in the Bay of Biray.

Camp on a sand spit in Hakusa Bay. Swim in the hot spring of Hakusa. Dinner at the stake. Tent night.

DAY 10

Today is a busy day of cultural events. On the hot springs of Hakusa, this day will be held the annual regional Even festival dedicated to the corrosive peoples of the North. We take pictures with local Origens in their national Even costumes, participate in competitions, try the national Evenki cuisine.

Lunch in the dining room of the hot spring Hakusa. Then, free time, we swim in stonika. Dinner at the stake. Tent night.

DAY 11

Breakfast on the fire. Getting ready to leave. At 11:30 we go by speedboat to the port of Severobaikalsk 48 km.

Organized transfer of 4 km from the port to the railway station of Severobakalsk.
