Siberian Adventures: From Arshan to Baikal

1st
Ascent along the mountain river Kyngarga to waterfalls (Arshan village)
In the morning at 09:30 we meet at the airport and at the railway station of Irkutsk, get acquainted, get luggage.
By minibus we go to the village of Arshan.
Lunch at your own expense in a roadside cafe.
On the way you will discover beautiful views of the Tunkin valley: snow-capped peaks of mountains in the rays of the sun, green fields and rapid mountain rivers.
Upon arrival – accommodation at one of the recreation centers in Arshan.
After a short rest, you will find a simple climb along the mountain river Kyngarga to the waterfalls.
The most famous and largest is the first waterfall with a height of 7 m. There are 11 waterfalls on the river! And if you have patience and continue your journey, you will see a truly picturesque picture of the mountain river, waterfalls and majestic mountains.
Return to base. Dinner on your own at the base cafe.
On the way (to Arshan): 220 km, about 4 hours.

Buddhist datsan
After breakfast you will visit the Buddhist Datsan. The small complex traditionally includes a datsan building, prayer cylinders and suburgan stupas.
Lunch at your own expense at a local cafe. We recommend you to try traditional Buryat meat dishes - buuzes and bukhler - it is really very tasty!
You have free time after lunch.
You can visit the village of Pearls, which has swimming pools and baths with therapeutic thermal water, as well as salt showers. Also, those who wish can go to the valley of extinct volcanoes or climb the peak of Love.
Dinner - independently in one of the cafes of the village or at the base.
For those who wish, a bath with birch brooms (for an additional fee).

Circum-Baikal Railway
Early breakfast.
Departure from Arshan to the city of Slyudyanka.
In Slyudyanka, you will board the Circum-Baikal Express - an excursion train that follows the Circum-Baikal Railway.
During the journey, you will be waiting for stops in the most interesting places, inspection of tunnels, bridges and retaining arches, the guide will tell you the history of the construction of the Railway and interesting information about Baikal.
In the evening, the train arrives at the Port of Baikal, from where by ferry through the mouth of the Angara River we get to the village of Listvyanka.
Hotel transfer.
Accommodation, dinner.
Meals included: breakfast and dinner. Lunch is on its own.

Listvyanka, Chersky stone, Baikal Museum
After breakfast, we go on a sightseeing tour of Listvyanka.
First we will visit the Baikal Museum and make an interactive dive in a bathyscaphe to the bottom of the lake.
Then, by cable car, we will climb to Chersky Peak, from where beautiful panoramas of Baikal and the surrounding area open.
Lunch on your own at the cafe.
After lunch you will see a show of real Baikal seals, they can dance, count and even draw!
On the market in Listvyanka you can buy souvenirs of Siberian craftsmen made of stone, wood, birch bark and glass, as well as taste Baikal fish - omul, garius, whitefish, cold and hot smoking.
Dinner on your own in cafes and restaurants Listvyanka.

Olkhon Island, Shamanka Rock
Breakfast.
Getting on a minibus and transfer to Olkhon Island.
On the way, lunch at a roadside cafe (at your own expense).
By ferry we cross the Strait of Olkhon Gate and get to the island.
Arrival at Pos. Khuzhir, accommodation at the tourist base.
Dinner.
Walking tour to one of the main attractions of Olkhon Island - Cape Burkhan. This cape is also called Shamanka Rock, since the place was considered sacred from ancient times.
Meals included: breakfast and dinner. Lunch is on its own.

Cape Khoboy, north of Olkhon Island
Breakfast.
Today you will have an excursion to the northern part of the island, to Cape Khoboy.
Beautiful panoramas of Baikal open on Khoboya, in good weather Ushkany Islands and the Holy Nose Peninsula are visible. The guide will tell you about the legends and beliefs that accompany Cape Hobo.
On the edge of the forest you will have a picnic with Baikal ear.
After lunch, we continue our journey through the northern part of the island to Uzura Bay.
Back to base, dinner.
For those who wish to have a bath (for an additional fee).

South of Olkhon Island
After breakfast we go on a trip to the south-eastern part of the island.
Thanks to this trip, you will have a full picture of Olkhon. We promise, you will be amazed at how many surprises hide a monotonous at first glance steppe.
In the program of the day secluded bays, turquoise lagoon and even one lake “Heart”. On the hot days of July and August, bring your swimsuits.
It will not do this day without bizarre rock complexes. Stone castle, trident and profile of Stalin - what you will not see on this day.
Return to base. Dinner.

Rest on the shore of Baikal
Free day, plan it as you wish.
To master horse riding, ride quad bikes, go fishing or just swim and sunbathe - the choice is yours. And you can also go on a water excursion to the island of Ogoi or visit Cape Khorgoy, where the ancient wall of Kurykan has been preserved.

Return to Irkutsk
Final breakfast.
Transfer to Irkutsk.
First, by UAZ car we go to the ferry, and then continue on the way by minibus. The journey will take about 6 hours.
Lunch in a roadside cafe at your own expense.
Arrival in Irkutsk (Kirov Square) after 19:00.
On the way: about 6 hours.
