Day 1

Our guide will meet you at the airport / railway station of Irkutsk and take you to the minibus, where you will have a long trip to the village of Mondy. The road from Irkutsk gradually begins to climb the mountain and hide in the forests. Descending from the mountain passes to Baikal, we, following the whimsical snake twists of the road, sometimes we will see beautiful landscapes opening among the mountain decays. For lunch we will stop in a roadside cafe among the taiga or with a chic panoramic view of Baikal. Having descended from the mountain serpentine and admiring the view of Lake Baikal for a short time, we will turn west and drive along the beautiful Tunkin valley to its narrow neck, where, near the Mongolian border, the village of Mondy is located. Bypassing it, we will reach a place where in Irkut, not so full and insidious as in the lower reaches, flows, carrying glacial waters from the mountains, White Irkut. We will stop for the night on the banks of White Irkut, set up a tent camp and cook dinner at the stake.

Day 2

In the morning after breakfast, we will walk upstream of the White Irkut River. 10 kilometers on the bottom of the gorge, illuminated by the sun, will take about two hours. On the road, take lunch boxes with lunch and hot tea thermoses. Upon arrival at the place of parking on the border of the forest and mountain tundra, we will again set up a tent camp. After the arrangement, you will be instructed and trained to work with special equipment. You will be taught how to properly use cats and ice picks, explain and show how to put insurance and overcome ice obstacles. Dinner by the fire.

Day 3

The ascent will be early, breakfast and exit from base camp. Climbing to the top requires a certain physical training, but the surrounding beauty more than compensate for all the hardships of the way. During short respite, looking back, you will see a beautiful mountain valley covered with snow. Once we reach the moraine lake, we make a stop. During the rest, we will have a snack and have time to admire the brilliant mountain covered with ice - our goal. Having fully appreciated the path traveled and the one that lies ahead, we begin the ascent. If the skyline is clear, you’ll have great views, great selfies and cool group photos on top. After breathing in the intoxicating air and admiring the stunning panoramas, we begin the descent to the camp. At dinner at the campfire, we will exchange impressions and view photos.

Day 4

In case of adverse weather conditions, the instructor has the right to refuse to climb. For this purpose, the tour is provided with a spare, fourth day. In the case of a successful ascent according to the established program, on this day you can make the transition to the Contrast Pass and the Observation Mountain. The saddle of the pass offers an excellent 360-degree panorama of the area, starting with the hilly “plain” of the Okina Plateau in the north and continuing with the grand ridge in the south.

Day 5

After breakfast, we turn the camp and start the descent to the highway. Lunch in a cozy pose on the shore of Irkut and return to Irkutsk. You will be taken to the airport / railway station. If your return ticket for the date following your arrival in Irkutsk, a hotel or hostel will be booked for you.
