The Valley of Volcanoes (Hi-Gol Fall) is a kind of area of the Eastern Sayan, which has preserved traces of once violent volcanic activity. Only a few thousand years ago there were eruptions, in the valley flowed hot lava. With a relatively low height of volcanic cones (the relative height does not exceed 120-130 m), lava flows have a long length - up to 70 km with an average angle of the slope of the valley filled with them, only 6-7 °! The scale and grandeur of the processes taking place in this valley is amazing. Proper cones of volcanoes against the background of snow-capped mountains - an unforgettable sight!
