About the company:

Omsk Museum of People’s Artist of Russia K.P. Belov was opened on March 29, 1991. The initiator of the museum was the local branch of the Union of Artists of Russia.

Most of the collection consists of works by the People’s Artist of Russia K.P. Belov, transferred to the museum by his heirs: landscapes, historical paintings, original book illustrations, preparatory sketches, sketches from life. In the personal archive of the artist - manuscripts of memoirs, letters, documents, numerous photographs.

In recent years, the museum collection has been replenished with the works of the son of K.P. Belov, the famous sixties artist S.K. Belov - Honored Artist of the RSFSR, and his grandson - V.M. Nekrasov. There is a small but constantly growing collection of works by contemporary Omsk painters and graphic artists, which came to the museum after solo and group exhibitions.

The museum is located in a wooden mansion, a monument of wooden architecture, built in the early twentieth century by a rich industrialist and entrepreneur F.F. Stumpf, who left a noticeable mark in the history of Omsk. The connection under one roof of two significant figures for Omsk - K.P. Belov and F.F. Stumpf - attracts and arouses special interest of visitors.
