Russian-Polyana Museum of Virgin Land

646780, Omsk region, Russian Polyana, str. Komsomolskaya, 52

About the company:

In the Russian-Polyansk municipal district there is a Museum of the history of virgin land. It was opened in 1986 with the assistance and support of the First Secretary of the CPSU for the Russo-Polyansky district Nazarov I.A.

The name of the museum, and therefore the profile, was not chosen by chance. For a whole generation of people, the concept of “celina” is associated with the heroic time – the first furrow and the first harvests, large shops, roads, power lines, new houses and entire state farms. The memory of the great feat of labor performed on the Russian-Polish land should live in the hearts of new generations.

The museum contains thousands of rare exhibits reflecting the history of the region. Household items and tools of labor of IDPs, letters, memories, items belonging to the participants of the virgin epic and the Great Patriotic War: walkie-talkie, fragments of deadly shells, bullet- pierced soldiers' helmets, other unique things.
