Museum of I.A. Bunin

Orel region, Orel, Georgievsky Per., 1

About the company:

On December 10, 1991, a literary and memorial museum was opened in Orel, dedicated to the life and work of the great writer of Russia, the first Nobel laureate in Russian literature - Ivan Alekseevich Bunin. The old noble mansion, which houses the museum, is located in the part of the city where Bunin lived in Orel at several addresses.

The exposition of the Bunin Museum tells about the dramatic fate of the writer, about his life until 1920 in Russia, then in exile in France. It gives an opportunity to trace his creative path from the unknown correspondent of the provincial newspaper Orlovsky Vestnik to the classic of Russian and world literature.
