Orel Regional Museum of Fine Arts
About the company:
Opened in 1957. The beginning of the collection is associated with the name of the opera singer A.N. Nikolaev (1836-1904), who in 1899 donated his collections to the Orel provincial museum. Later, the collection was replenished with objects of art from nationalized noble estates. In the late 1920s, a number of works by Russian avant-garde artists were transferred from the Museum of Painting Culture in Moscow.
