“National Village” is a single cultural complex, which displays all the diversity, wealth and special color of the culture and traditions of multinational Orenburg.

This is a kind of open-air museum, which has become a symbol of friendship based on respect for neighbors, regardless of their nationality and religious affiliation.

It is safe to say that the National Village was held as a unique cultural site. On the territory of the complex, both Orenburg residents and guests of the city relax and get acquainted with original national cultures. Mass ethno-cultural events of the regional and all-Russian level are held here. The National Village became the main platform for the celebration of the Day of Russia, the City Day, the Day of National Unity. The concert venue of the cultural complex hosts performances of both professional and amateur creative groups, in most open farmsteads there are museums and cafes of national cuisine.

In each courtyard there is an ethnographic museum and a restaurant of national dishes. On the territories of the farmsteads there are expositions and objects of ethnography reflecting the life and culture of ethnic communities represented in the village.

“National Village” has become a real common house, where there is an opportunity not only for cultural recreation of people, but also for family holidays and other cultural and educational events.

“National Village” is a kind of park-museum, which presents Russian, Ukrainian, Tatar, Kazakh, Bashkir, Mordovian, Chuvash, Belarusian, Armenian and German national farmsteads.

In the guise of the Russian farmstead, the traditions of Russian architecture are traced, when the house and church were assembled without a single nail. The main building is made in the form of a large tower with characteristic pillars, a balcony, a gable roof, but the house-museum is an ordinary five-story house.

On the Tatar farmstead there is a historical and ethnographic museum, which is a typical Tatar house of the late XIX - early XX century (it resembles the houses of merchants-Tatars who lived in the village of Tatar Kargala in the XVIII-XIX centuries), a restaurant and hotel complex - a two-storey building with elements of oriental architecture, crowned by a roof in the form of two "Tubeteks", as well as a shopping house lined with a stone-shell. There was a place for the editorial office of the newspaper “Yana Vakyt”.

Kazakh farmstead is a very successful combination of past and present. Against the background of a modern building in the oriental style there are several yurts for various purposes, one of which houses a museum of Kazakh culture and life.

When creating the Ukrainian farmstead, the most characteristic, recognizable elements were used: a whitewashed hut covered with straw, painted in a traditional manner, lashes, a well, a street stove.

The exposition of the Museum of Ukrainian Culture and Life has about 1000 exhibits, which were carefully collected not only in the Orenburg region, but also brought from the Lviv and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

The Bashkir courtyard looks interesting, where a special, unique architectural and landscape ensemble has also been created, reflecting the originality of culture, the peculiarities of life and way of life of the Bashkirs of Orenburg. This is a house with a tent roof, and a platform for Sabantuys, and a horse courtyard.

The owners of the Mordovian farmstead talk about their offspring: “At the very beginning of the way, thinking about what our farmstead will be, we decided that we want to tell everyone about the original culture, customs, rich traditions of the Mordovian people, to show how our ancestors lived and what the modern Mordovian breaths.”

The buildings of the German farmstead are designed in two styles. In the appearance of the main house, the architecture of Germany is recognized, and the museum building is a sample of the Orenburg Mennonite dwelling, where residential and utility premises are combined under one roof.

The Armenian farmstead is made in the Caucasian architectural traditions. In the decoration, preference is given to natural materials, in particular stone. On the territory of the farmstead, a natural relief characteristic of Armenia with a small waterfall was recreated. The museum exposition presents authentic household items of the XVII-XIX centuries, national costumes, musical instruments, traditional interiors are reproduced. No one will be indifferent to panoramic paintings that reflect significant events in the history of the Armenian people, the unique color of national melodies and, of course, the wine cellar.
