Salute Park Victory

Russia, Orebourg region, Orenburg city, garden. Frunze, Burzyantsev Street, 30 and

Description:

On the border of old Orenburg, where the former fortress passed into the city suburbs, the Chernorechensky Garden was located. After the revolution, the garden was named after Mikhail Frunze. In 1973, an eternal flame was lit here and a memorial was created in memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War. Today’s life of the park began in 2005, when on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the victory, it was decided to arrange an exhibition complex of military equipment in the open air.

The park has been seriously renovated. Today, more than sixty units of military and post-war equipment are concentrated here. Along the paths that diverge in rays from the central square of the park, installations are installed dedicated to a certain topic - the defense of Moscow and Stalingrad, the Kursk arc, workers of the rear and others.

Today, the exhibition complex "Salute, Victory" is one of the main attractions of the city, which is visited with pleasure by both guests of Orenburg and local residents.
