Salt Lake in Sol-Iletsk
Sol-Iletsky district, Orenburg region, Russia
Description:
Salt Lake in Sol-Iletsk hosts thousands of visitors who want to feel weightlessness in salt water, as well as improve their health - because salt water cleanses the skin and mucous membranes. Swimming in the salt lake is especially recommended for people with diseases of the skin, musculoskeletal system and internal organs.
The salt lake with an area of 66,100 square meters and a depth of 18 meters was formed on the site of Mount Tuzgube, where salt is produced. On the lake there is a beach with sand and salt. On the western slope of the mountain, near the lake, deposits of stone salt are exposed, through which a salt spring has been flowing for many years, called “Salt Tears”.
The concentration of salt in the water reaches 340 grams per liter, which is much higher than the concentration of salt in the water of the Black Sea, so in the lake a person can freely move vertically without touching the bottom.
