Orenburg Centre for Domestic Tourism

The city of Orenburg is the capital of the Ural steppes, located on the border of two parts of the world: Europe and Asia. The border runs along the Ural River, where Orenburg, a fortress city, was founded in 1743. The hallmark of the city are the famous down scarves, which are produced only here. Our city was visited at different times by many outstanding personalities. Pushkin, for example, collected information about the Pugachev rebellion in order to later write “Kapitan’s Daughter”, and the famous pilot-cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin studied in our school, so the city remained the plane on which he worked out the first flights. The city keeps the memory of all who visited it and the contribution they made to the development of the region. It's embedded in the architecture of the city.
