About the company:

A.I. Kuprin Museum was opened in September 1981 with the great participation and support of the writer’s daughter K.A. Kuprin. The expositions of the museum are located in two buildings. In the Shlykovs’ house, restored in 1970 on the foundation of a burnt-out house belonging to the writer’s parents, there is a literary and household exposition “Life and work of A.I. Kuprin”.

In September 1990, an exhibition hall was opened in the adapted building, used for organizing stationary exhibitions. The Kuprin collection includes memoirs donated by the writer’s daughter: the archive of Kuprins of the period of emigration (A.I. Kuprin’s autographs, letters from the writer’s wife, letters and documents by K.A. Kuprin), household items of the writer (wedding ring, coffee maker, flask, etc.), books from his library. The collection also contains lifetime editions of the writer’s works, original illustrations to them, film and photo materials that capture the stories of A.I. Kuprin’s daughter about her father. Every year in the first days of September, the Kuprin literary holiday is held in Penza and Narovchat.
