Poim Historical and Architectural Museum

Poim fascinates everyone - living here and coming for a short time - with its unique architectural appearance, perpetuating the individual lifestyle of the merchant and merchant, artisan and teacher, farmer and priest. All the pages of the centuries-old Poim chronicle open and become visible in the local historical and architectural museum.

The building of the museum - an architectural monument of the late XIX century - was built as a tavern in 1895 by the manager of Count Uvarov. The museum presents various crafts and crafts, recreated the workshops of a shoemaker and a roller, a maid of a Poim philistine. Here you can look at the shop, see Poim on market days. In the village was widely developed leather, shoemaking, blacksmithing, bondar, pottery, caposhnogo, tailor, rope production, spinning and valal business, there were many potash, brick factories, butchers, mills. All products were sold at fairs and auctions. They're still trading. The expositions are located in four halls of the main building of the museum.
