About the company:

The museum was opened in February 1991 and is located in one of the oldest buildings in the village. In January 1914, the first Zemstvo hospital was opened here. The area of the museum is 380 square meters and includes an assembly hall for 60 seats and 4 exhibition halls: a hall of peasant life, a hall of merchant life, a hall of combat and labor glory, a hall “From Countess Shuvalova to Prodimex”.

The museum funds include more than 8,000 exhibits, among which are finds of paleontologists, archaeologists, objects of the Stone Age and the Golden Horde period.

Ethnographic exhibition introduces visitors to the culture and life of the local people.

The museum has a large collection of Zemetchinskaya environment, scarves, towels. The museum also has a large scientific fund - it is historical literature about the region, fellow countrymen - participants of the Great Patriotic War, the history of enterprises of the district, schools, collective farms and state farms. The uniqueness of the museum is that it contains exhibits that were used in the past by residents of the district.

Today’s tour in the museum is a whole theatrical performance, where small roles are offered to the visitor. Such excursions are especially liked by children, they themselves can try to get flour using millstones, and then knead dough for bread - all this is interesting, informative, and how much it brings positive emotions and joy!
