For those who are not ready for climbing, we offer a simple route, during which you can admire the majestic volcanoes, numerous alpine flowers and get acquainted with the friendly local inhabitants - Evrazhki.

Avacha Pass is one of the most accessible and visited places of the Nalychevo natural park. The extrusion of the Camel is a natural monument on the territory of the Nalichevsky Natural Park, which was included in the list of UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage in the nomination "Volcanoes of Kamchatka" in 1996. Monument "Camel" is a small rock massif with two sharp peaks, located on the pass between the volcanoes Avachinsky and Koryaksky (another name is the Rock of the two-humped). Both peaks of the camel are rocky, the foot covers rocky debris, typical subalpine plant species grow on the rashes formed by them. The foundation for the mountain is the thickness of the ancient lavas of the Koryak volcano. It is assumed that the massif was formed as a result of the extrusive activity of the Koryak volcano. According to another opinion, the camel arose during a strong eruption of the Avachinsky volcano.

Route programme:

1 day. (09:00) Departure from P-Kamchatsky to the board of the Koryak and Avachinsky volcanoes. Walk to the camel mountain, whose height is 1100 meters above sea level. Throughout the route, you will be able to closely examine the slopes of the Avachinsky and Koryaksky volcanoes, watch the flowering of the Kamchatka endems - rhododendrons and other numerous alpine flowers, get acquainted with the local inhabitants - Evrazhki, very friendly representatives of the marmot family. Having reached the top of the extrusion of the Camel, with good visibility, you will see the bay of Avacha Bay, the city of Elizovo, the Vilyuchinsky volcano and the Mink hill from a bird's eye view! Along the way, we will have a stop for feeding gophers (Eurazheks), for photography and rest.

On the way back, visit the Pacific coast, where you can feel the energy of the ocean and breathe fresh sea air. (20:00) Return to P-Kamchatsky
