Sea trip. Starichkov Island with sea fishing

Picturesque coves, an abundance of grottoes, sea fishing and freshly caught crab. Excellent walk on a speedboat to the majestic rocks of Three Brothers and the island of bird bazaars - to the island of Starychkov.

On the way to the island, we'll make a Crab Safari from the boat. You will see with your own eyes a real hunt for the crab, and a caring captain will cook it on sea water and offer you sandwiches with red fish and drinks. Also, you will find exciting sea fishing, and you can take all the catch with you if you wish.

The island is located in the Pacific Ocean 12 km from the entrance to the Avacha Bay. It is surrounded by coastal reefs and stones and is also interesting in that it is declared a natural monument for the preservation of bird bazaars, and it got its name thanks to the birds of Starika.

The animal kingdom of the island is not only made up of birds. On the stones surrounding the Starichkovs, there are rookeries of seals and largues, there are stoves and calans. It is possible that killer whales will appear on your way from the adjacent waters.

The journey begins in the waters of the Avacha Bay from the exit to the Rakovaya Bay. On the way - Zavoiko Bay, Boat Bay, Three Brothers rocks.

Avacha Bay is recognized as one of the largest and most beautiful bays in the world. It is a huge, calm and beautiful bay, and local fishermen proudly declare that the entire fleet can fit in it.

From here you can see Koryaksky, Avachinsky, Vilyuchinsky volcanoes and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

The first stop is the famous Three Brothers Rocks. According to legend, in time immemorial, these stone pillars were beautiful young men belonging to one of the local tribes. The inhabitants were suffering greatly from the tsunami, and the brothers decided to protect their people from the giant waves. Standing at the entrance to the bay, they did not allow the tsunami to penetrate it. That's how they still stand.

We go further, admire the views of Cape Mayachny, Cape Nameless and go to Grotovaya Bay at the exit from Avacha Bay. Grotov Bay is named so captains of small ships for the abundance of beautiful grottoes. This place, which was chosen by seagulls and divers, will not leave anyone indifferent.

Transition to the open ocean (Avacha Bay) to Starichkov Island. Near the coast are chains of small islands - kekura. The total number of birds on the island is approximately 183 thousand. 44 nesting colonies of 11 species of sea colonial birds: Bering cormorant, red-faced cormorant, Pacific gulls, patches, cairns, axes, spatulas.

The island itself is a nature monument and reserve, so landing on the shore is allowed only for scientific purposes. We will go around him from all sides and closely admire him from the boat.

And you can catch here flounder, pollock, sea bass, navaga, flax, halibut, cod, bull - depending on the month and fishing luck. After fishing, having rested and dined, we go towards the city, on the way we are met by Cape Nameless and Cape Stanitsky, on which the lighthouse is located. The cape is named in honor of the head of Kamchatka in 1822 - 1828 - Fyodor Stanitsky. The first navigational fire was installed here in 1936. And in 1953, the construction of the lighthouse began.

We approach the island of Babushkin Stone - the island of nesting sea birds, it is surrounded by a system of underwater grottoes. The island received its name for a kind of sloping plateau, published from a distance similar to a scarf, tied on the head of an old woman.

And at the end of our tour - the Bay of Quiet. One of the calmest bays in the water area of the Avacha Bay. This small and very cozy cove surrounded by rocks. Around - a picturesque view of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and beautiful surroundings.

If weather conditions are unfavorable for the trip (storm warning / closed raid in connection with the passage of military vessels), then changes in the planned route, including the day and time of departure, are possible. For individual groups, the program and its duration can be adjusted depending on your wishes. The remedy for motion sickness (drama, air sea) is taken half an hour before the exit.
