Lake Stubel is located in the eastern part of the caldera of the volcano Ksudach, Kamchatka Peninsula. The freshwater lake has an oblong shape and is almost surrounded by steep walls 400-500 meters high, this is due to its tectonic origin. To the northwest of Lake Stubel there are thermal springs forming the Hot Beach. Currently, this reservoir is quite popular for both tourists and scientific research.
